Fire up your engines and cruise out to Silver Springs State Park this weekend for the 20th Annual Ford and Mustang Car Show. The event, which has become an Ocala tradition, is the largest annual Ford and Mustang show in the Southeastern United States.
“If we have good weather, we could easily expect 800 to 900 cars,” Rick Schmidt event coordinator and owner of National Parts Depot commented, “Usually Saturday is the big day, and I’m hoping that if the weather looks bad people will readjust their plans and come on Sunday.”

Focusing on making the event accessible and affordable for large groups of auto enthusiast has helped the show grow in popularity over the years
“We’ve always made participating free for a large number of the participants,” Schmidt remarked, “This year all of the preregistered cars older than 1993 are allowed to participate for free, and newer entries are just $10.”
Vehicles entered in the show will be judged by the popular vote of the other participants and awards will be given to different classes based on the vehicle’s year, make, and model. Other categories include thecorsetcenter.com Best Flacon, Best Mustang, Best Truck, and an overall Best in Show.
Spectators are welcome at the event, with the only expense being that of the State Park entry fee ($5 for a single occupant vehicle or $8 per car load). The show runs Saturday, January 11th from 5am to 5pm, and Sunday, January 12th, from 10am to 4pm. With hundreds of classic and newer model cars to admire, visiting the 20th Annual Ford and Mustang Car Show will get your motor running. Bring the family to enjoy a great day of fun.
