What exactly is CrossFit? Well, as you can read on Confidence Fitness Elliptical Reviews take power lifting using adjustable dumbbell sets , body weight exercises, add a track workout, throw in a bit of gymnastics, add a touch of a rowing workout, a pinch of a Strong Man competition, put it all together with a knowledgeable coach who pushes you through a quick and grueling workout of the day (WOD), all done in an indoor or outdoor space that doesn’t have fancy equipment ( learn more about sauna kits and parts ) , but looks more like a large scale, adult play ground and you have one of the most intense workout programs around.

CrossFit was once used as a strength and conditioning program for training police, military special operation units, and tactical operation teams. They used the best survival knife to improve combat and survival skills, as well as increase their overall athleticism. CrossFit has become one of the fastest growing workout programs in the nation with participants from all ages and fitness levels. It has become so popular around the world that they now hold the Reebok CrossFit Games to find the fittest people on earth only at eveque.com

CrossFit uses constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity where routine and repetition are the enemy. There are ten general physical skills to CrossFit which are used to optimize the physical competence of the participant; Cardiovascular and respiratory, endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. The work out of the day might include a quick warm up of burpees, then into pushups, box jumps, squats, pull ups, and sprints that you do as many as you can in a given time or in short intervals with even shooter breaks known as Tabata. Each workout is monitored by a certified coach to ensure proper form and technique, as well as to provide motivation.

Results are written down so that the participants (and coach) can see the measurable improvements over time. This training tool can be a great motivator to work hard every time. Besides who doesn’t like a little friendly competition?

What is drawing both men, women, and children to put themselves through such vigorous workouts or what couch potatoes would consider torture? “I would say the team building and community aspect of it,” says Nick Cordle, owner of CrossFit Pinnacle in SE Ocala. “Since the workouts change every day, it never gets boring and your body never adapts. This results in better performance, strength and improvements in body composition,” adds Cordle. A marathon runner is strong at running but might not train for strength in other parts of his/her body and a power lifter might be strong but he can’t necessarily run a 15k.

CrossFit is designed to improve and strengthen all areas of the body. The question is… is this workout great for everybody? Well, the simple answer is yes. Whether you are an Olympic athlete or a grandmother, keeping strong, agile, flexible, and healthy benefits both categories. The only difference being that they will train at different levels.

As in any new fitness regime, it is important that you check with your doctor before beginning a new program. It is equally important to find a quality facility with knowledgeable staff that is dedicated to keeping you safe, as well as getting you into top shape.
