We are very excited to bring you a “Pet of the week” along with the best vacuum for pet hair from The Humane Society of Marion County. Kate Rengel, Canine Care Coordinator will be visiting each week with a pet in need of a loving, forever home.
The Humane Society of Marion County is a completely non-profit 501c3 organization. In order words, the organization relies completely on donations from the kind-hearted and generous people from Marion County. They house, on average, 110 dogs and puppies and 150 cats and kittens. Dog adoption fees are $85, and cat adoption fees are $50, to approved adopters. Most of the animals are located in the shelter in NW Ocala, but they also have cats at Petco and Pet Supermarket; they bring dogs every weekend to PetSmart on SR 200. They are always looking for volunteers to join the team, and have many opportunities for those interested. They are open from 10-6 every day; closed to the public on Wednesdays. They invite you to visit! We also suggest you get one of the best cat trackers so in case your cat runs outside you’ll be able to find him/her.
