After a few local venues that catered toward the bike scene in Ocala closed their doors, Tilted Kilt in Ocala is bringing some much needed entertainment for the locals back into existance. Tilted Kilt’s Manager, Nefty Montfort is dedicated to providing a venue that taps into the market for locals and those willing to make the drive to enjoy “slow bike races” and a host of other competitions.
Every first Saturday of the month (along with other nights), Tilted Kilt hosts a live band, vendors ranging from Melilli Moto’s Ducati, The Spoke Shop, Ride Now, all with an extended happy hour from 4-11 pm. We caught up with owner Sebastian Didato of the Ocala Ducati location. Over the engines revving, preparing for the Tilted Kilt host to drop her arms for the slow race, we heard him say that “this event has been a fun evening for us and our crew to attend.”
Tilted Kilt invites family and bikers to attend next months “Bike Night” on Saturday, May 5th. There will be races, ride the plank contests, along with drink specials and vendor tents filled with plenty of merchandise to view. Ducati and several local shops will have demo bikes on location to check out! We recommend arriving a bit early to lock in a seat near all the action.
