Development Update:  Recently there has been activity at the old Rockversity Building at 112 S. Pine Avenue in Ocala.  The building, now owned by BG Capital Group, used to house a music school, but during the downturn in the economy fell into disrepair and was eventually given back to the bank that financed the original purchase.  Now, there are signs of life at the property and will be the new Headquarters of our very own What’s Up Media Group.

The renovation project will take approx 12 weeks and is being managed by Ethridge Construction of Ocala along with Dee Dee Taylor Eustace, Principle with Taylor Hannah Architect Inc. out of Toronto and New York City.  When complete it will have a fully operational studio a with sound room, overhead lighting and acoustical walls.  The building will also include office space for staff as well as a reception and lobby area in the center.  The exterior will get a fresh facelift with new windows, doors, paint and new asphalt for the parking lot. When finished, the building will be a state of the art production studio that will be able to accommodate everything from shooting a few fledged TV shows, to shooting commercials, producing public service announcements, and even photo shoots.  Stay tuned for more updates on the studio as we get closer to completion and move in.
